Conjugal Burns is a Mars Volta song that has very effected bass sound. There are parts of the song that have ring modulator, vibrato pedal, distortion, but it is the ring modulator, that gives that song it's over the top, non traditional sound. On the record, I used both the Moog Mooger Fooger, and a vintage Maestro ring modulator but in this video, I demo how you can get the all the sounds on a pedal that is still available in stores, and that is the Mooger Fooger.
