Originally from CA & now a Nashville resident, course creator, content maker, and guitarist, Haley Powers joins us in celebrating #WomensHistoryMonth!
Growing up in a musical family, Haley is no stranger to the power of music. At a young age, her father took her under his wing, threw her a mandolin, and had her join the family’s Blue Grass band! From there, her love of playing live music flourished! Live music can bring out the best in people & bring them together in ways other hobbies just can’t. Haley considers musicians like Bassist Annie Clements & Guitarist Shannon Lauren Callahan (among others) as women who are killing it in the Nashville music industry right now. Watching these women achieve their goals with their level-headed attitudes, experiences, & mind-blowingly awesome talent for shredding is something Haley looks up to!
Haley’s blog has opened many doors of opportunity, as her approachable take on playing guitar & inviting personality make people want to stop, listen & not be so fearful of taking that leap into playing music. She encourages more women in the industry to just reach for it and have fun with it!
Currently, Haley uses a VOX AC10 in her rig due to its versatility, classic chime, look, loudness, and lightness in weight! It gives her the ability to change sounds easily as well.
She recently released her FIRST-EVER song with her band The Rivalry which we are super excited about! In 2023 we can look forward to more from her band The Rivalry as well as a tour towards the end of the year!
