Andy Vargas is one of the newest members of the Santana band. In this video, Andy explains that Carlos describes the voice as the closest instrument to the heart and calls the vocalists in the group the "quarterbacks." Respecting that role and Santana's guitar tone inspires Andy to both blend his voice with the guitar and play off of Carlos's harmonics.
