The beloved Gibson ES-335, a timeless semi-hollow model with classy looks and a sound to die for! Today we want to take a closer look at one from 1972 in a beautiful cherry finish, and plug it into a big screaming amp (but we'll get into that one later). This guitar came from our friends The Head and the Heart, and has been well loved and taken care of over the years. Though it isn't totally original, the instrument is in great shape and sounds out of this world as you'll hear when Jay plugs it into a 1988 Marshall Model 1987S 50w head and 1960A cabinet - an absolute monster of an amp!
