In this brand new episode of “Riff Lords,” guitarist Jared James Nichols breaks down riffs to his songs “Baby Can You Feel It,” “Threw Me To The Wolves,” “Nails In The Coffin” and more. Watch as he shares the background on how they were written s well as some of the blues guitar techniques he uses to get each song’s signature sound.

The Wisconsin born, Nashville based guitarist got his first guitar at 14-years-old and was onstage performing shortly after. Soon, he found himself practicing for twelve hours every day and hitting up the local jams, eventually sharing the stage with legends including Buddy Guy, "Honeyboy" Edwards, and "Big Jim" Johnson.

In 2019, Jared released the single “Nails in the Coffin” which became a popular rock radio hit in the UK and was A-listed on Planet Rock radio for several weeks. In 2023, Jared James Nichols released his self-titled third full-length offering and a cover of Alice In Chains - “Man in the Box”. As of 2024, Jared is currently on a world tour in support of his new self-titled album.

“I want people to get excited," he concludes. "I want them to feel like anything is possible in this music. I want them to know great rock and roll exists. If I can give someone the same inspiration I was blessed with, I've done something right."
