This 00-18V is based on the best old-school 00-18’s. It sports the classic solid spruce top/solid mahogany back and sides combination for projection and warmth. The dovetail neck joint is the same as the vintage 00-18’s. It lends a huge advantage both structurally and tonally. Martin’s old 00's have scalloped X-bracing, and that’s exactly what’s under the top of this guitar. This bracing technique allows the top to vibrate more freely than other styles, enriching the low-end and enhancing the guitar’s overall clarity and volume. The modified V neck shape is very cozy - it doesn't have too much of a drastic point. Ebony on the fingerboard feels precise and has a dark, beautiful look. The aging toner used on the top gives the spruce a broken-in vibe.

This guitar is equal parts vintage icon and player's paradise. It's an old-school design with a lot of classic Martin DNA, but it's not built just to sit around and look pretty - this is one of the best playing and sounding acoustics in stock.
