We've been on a little bit of a Gibson kick recently, and carrying on with that theme we're featuring a 1956 Gibson Les Paul "Gold Top" today! This guitar is in great original condition for its age, with the exception of an excellent re-fret by Eric Daw and a non-original tailpiece (which replaced an old Bigsby vibrato at some point). A great pair of P90s at the heart of this beauty give it a fantastic single-coil sound that nicely differentiates from the PAF Les Paul sound that would come a few years down the line. Today we're pairing this beauty up with a brand new Carr Skylark - a 12w boutique amplifier with built-in tube reverb, a switchable attenuator, and classic Carr styling. Of course, the demo wouldn't be complete without one of our great-playing friends, so today we have Aaron Hiebert on the demo!
