With the Deluxe61 covering tighter, articulate tones and syrupy bias tremolo, Origin Effects have set their sights on the earlier 5E3 Deluxe circuit known for its raw, expressive overdrive that helped define Tweed amp tone.
Like other Origin Recreation pedals, the Deluxe55 includes a complete amplifier signal path using transistors instead of valves/tubes from the preamp, phase inverter, simulated push-pull power amp, reactive load all the way to rectifier sag!
A virtual swap of preamp tubes lets you choose stock 12ay7 for classic, articulate crunch or the 12ax7 for warmer, compresses overdrive that borders on fuzz when cranked.
The Deluxe55 is also widely compatible with UK/US amp voicings with the Post-EQ modes and active filter but since the whole amp is replicated sans speaker, you can go direct and load up the recent impulse responses from Origin effects, including the matching Tweed 1x12.
