Still catching our eyes decades later, the Burgundy mist is over an alder body and matched on the maple headstock. A rosewood board gets the vintage treatment with a 7.25" radius and 21 vintage size frets while the back of the neck shows a vintage tint and comfortable oval profile.
Despite the vintage specs and wiring, Fender Japan gives the ST62-TX/MH a set of Texas Special single coils. These hotter pickups give a bit more midrange and output plus tighter bass that is the result of Alnico 5 magnets.Last but not least, Fender Japan sets up this '62 Strat with a vintage tremolo that is both sturdy and responsive to a delicate touch.
