This is Fender American Vintage '65 Stratocaster. More than just a reissue, the 2013 American Vintage series replicates the finest details from Fender's early history. Using retooled hardware that is as vintage correct as it gets, this '65 Strat not only looks the part, but provides the feel of a 60's Fender Stratocaster. A super thin nitro lacquer mixed with a newly formulated Dakota Red finish lets the alder body breathe and age just as a vintage instrument should. Its maple neck uses an accurately thick C profile and is loaded with 21 vintage frets, a round 7 1/4" radius and rolled edges for a comfortable playing. 3 new American Vintage '65 grey bottom single coils are wound to original specs while the 5 way switch and expanded tone #2 control squeeze every sound imaginable out of this vintage voiced instrument.
