I have long been a fan of Paul Gilbert and the Ibanez PGM series. At one point in my life I owned an Ibanez PGM301 and I sold it when I fell on hard times. I've regretted selling that guitar ever since and have always hoped to find a suitable PGM to replace it. And with the PGM50 I believe I may have found THE ONE!
The PGM50 is part of Ibanez's Premium line of Made in Indonesia guitars. They offer huge bang-for-your-buck with great fret work, fantastic build quality and great specs. This guitar combines some of the best qualities of a modern Ibanez with a few old school twists like a flat fretboard with a chunky neck, a lightweight body finished in a classy finish and PAF pickups on a shredder style guitar.
