Here it is, the Maxon OD-808 Overdrive pedal! This was one of the first overdrive pedals to emulate tube amp overdrive with a solid state circuit. The OD-808 is also one of the most imitated pedals in stompbox history. The Maxon OD-808 Overdrive is one of Maxon's Reissue series. The only difference between this one and the original is a change in output resistors in order to reduce noise from static electricity buildup. Otherwise, the OD-808 is true to the original, featuring a signal distorting diode in the negative feedback loop which causes the signal to distort in the amplifier circuit instead of after. The Maxon OD-808 Overdrive pedal also features the infamous JRC4558 (of course!).
