This year, MXR is celebrating 40 years of innovation with a series of mini documentary videos covering its history as well as the personal stories of the lives and music it affected.
This first installment helps paint a fuller picture of the beginnings of MXR as a young upstart company started in a New York basement through the stories of one of the first employees, Ron Wilkerson. In a few short years Ron went from being a struggling club musician just out of college to traveling the world selling MXR pedals and being the instrumental force in creating the look and identity for a brand that has become one of the most iconic in music gear history.
