His journey began with the A 01 Komputer kit on drumlogue, crafting a simple yet groovy beat from scratch. He couldn't resist diving into the onboard reverb and delay features for that extra movement at a slower tempo. The amount of tonality the kick provides with longer lengths is pure magic! It's a breeze to record in with it & manipulate pitch giving your music that contemporary edge...you can even pitch the kick to your song's key.
Steve built the hi-hat into the step sequence program, unmuting it as needed for the beat to grow! Drumlogue's analog kick, snare, and toms are a game-changer, offering a fresh approach to programming thick vintage drum sounds. drumlogue makes keeping the beat in tempo a piece of cake. You can hear the difference as Steve rode the "decay" knob on the kick to show the tone and punch of the analog kick!
On Minilogue XD, Steve's riding the waves with the stock preset 004 "Quarra." Its arpeggiator flawlessly tracks the tempo, making it a breeze to sync up with our beat. Steve’s adding some real-time depth to the reverb for those epic moments. Both units are getting an extra layer of Neve-style warmth from Steve's trusty Warm Audio WA273-EQ, bringing it all together in glorious stereo. 🎛️🔊
