Seraphim from @Dreadbox-synths introduced us to the latest iteration of the *NYX* modular synthesizer. The NYX retained its dual oscillator, dual filter structure, while adding enhancements, including an improved reverb based on the original algorithm. The longer decay times now allowed for deeper, more resonant reverbs with knob adjustments affecting brightness.
Additionally, a noise source and two external inputs have been added, allowing new textures and routing possibilities. Seraphim explained that the overall character, including oscillators and filters, remained unchanged in this USB-powered, portable model. Though out of production for a while, the NYX MKIII was back as a DIY kit, with an assembled version expected soon.
