Gather a bunch of your favourite classic flangers together, pick and use the best bits from them, add a reverb for extra lushness and pop in a subtle noise gate to help tame the often hissy swoosh associated with flangers of yore. Package it all up in a friendly four-knob interface and call it the STS-88. Voila! And good fun it is too. There are all kinds of tones to be had in the STS-88, from notch to wobble to trippy resonant temple drones. I like it!
