On this week’s Academy of Tone, Thomas is back in Germany to reflect on what was an epic two-week trip to the USA to launch AMPX at the NAMM Show!

From the moment team BluGuitar arrived in Anaheim, it was non-stop action. The three days of the NAMM Show flew by in a flurry of activity (you’ve seen a lot of if on social media already) and great meetings with the likes of Rick Beato, Paul Davids, Pete Thorn, Rhett Shull and more, but the week after the show saw Thomas and Rich in action in and around Los Angeles and even further afield!

Thomas also found the time to drive down to San Diego to play a gig with Larry Mitchell and AMP1 user Roni Lee! Thomas played a bunch of covers and Roni originals during the show, many of which he was hearing for the first time as he played them!

As well all that, plans for the true release of AMPX continue. Every day new aspects of the amp are being worked on, and Thomas will talk about the most recent developments. He’ll also explain again the AMPX waiting list (sales@bluguitar.com is the email you need to write to in order to get on the waiting list!) and take another round of questions about the amp.
