Today we're putting our finger on the pulse of the Vibe Machine from Dry Bell. The Vibe Machine is the most full-featured authentic, analog Vibe pedal on the market, and as a bonus, it's also one of the smallest. The advanced version 2 contains a host of new features in the form of highly-customizable trimpots, plus tap tempo. These extra controls help adjust the Vibe Machine to fit snugly in your chain no matter what comes before or after it. The classic Uni-Vibe Intensity and Speed controls sit front and center on the Vibe Machine, each with an extremely wide range. The previous Vibe Machine offered Symmetry and Range trimpots on the side to fully adjust the throb and feel of the pedal, but those two controls are now joined by 3 more, Chorus, Custom and Grit. While in Chorus mode, you can also adjust the depth of the harmonic modulation with the Chorus trim. This affects all frequencies across the sweep and can help the guitar cut through in a live mix. The Grit is tied in with the adjustable output buffer and can really help sweeten up the efffect when used with fuzz or drive. In addition to Normal and Bright modes, the input impedance can now be adjusted freely with the Custom trim, ensuring the Vibe Machine sounds consistent when placed after other buffers. Users can connect an expression pedal for Speed control and use the same jack for an external tap tempo switch from Drybell. In that wasn't enough, the V-2 has an advanced firmware that allows you to really dig into the expression and tap tempo parameters, such as Leslie speed control emulation and heel-cancel like a classic Univibe. Of course, the Drybell Vibe Machine V-2 is carefully made and tuned one at a time in Croatia.
