The Scoop & Scream is a combination fuzz and overdrive circuit run in parallel as opposed to a traditional series configuration.

In series, your signal is processed by pedals one after the other until it reaches your amp. That means pedals earlier in your chain will affect how pedals later in the chain sound.

The Scoop & Scream takes a different approach and runs the effects in parallel. That means your signal is split, then the Scoop (Fuzz) and the Scream (Overdrive) process the signal separately, and then are finally mixed together at the output. Since adjusting the settings on one side of the circuit doesn’t affect the other, this lets you explore different tone sculpting options that series can’t; such as retaining the clarity of an overdrive while diving into the raw heaviness of a fuzz.

It’s like having four pedals in one. A splitter, an overdrive, a fuzz, and a mixer!
