Getting good solder joints often starts before you even solder. A good mechanical / physical connection where the wires are twisted together or fish hooked around one another where physical pressure is holding them together - and then the solder simply cements the connection permanently - is a great way to achieve long lasting solder joints. In this video I explain how to do this.
