Finlay Shakespeare is back with new Future Sound Systems machine -the  Cric Synthesizer. This standalone, fully analog synthesizer features a unique pin matrix patching system and is derived from various FSS Eurorack designs. The Cric incorporates elements like the recombination engine for oscillation and the timbral sculptor for filtering, but it's much more than just a collection of modules in a box. The design has been refined to ensure a cohesive experience, encompassing four function generators, a standalone VCA, and sample-and-hold capabilities.

According to Finlay, the synth was crafted with influences from classic designs while integrating modern enhancements. Users can expect comprehensive input and output options, and for those seeking diverse sound design potential, the Crick offers wave folding and VCA-based 18 dB/octave filtering.

Priced at £2499, the Cric is set to ship soon.
