In this last of his three-part investigation of applying four-note arpeggios to solo phrases, Andy Aledort investigates different approaches to each arpeggiated shape and useful ways to connect one to the next. As a framework, he uses a repeating two-bar vamp along the lines of that heard in the classic Allman Brothers Band instrumental “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.”
