Synth pedals are not for every guitarist simply because they're changing "classic guitar sound" and makes it different. If you're open minded and know how to use them, express your toughts and emotions with them - Synth pedals can be very interesting and useful.
It's easy to make a joke with something that's strange to you, but it's not fair.
If somebody like to "live in a box" let them be... ;-)
Guitar straight to an amp is NOT "my cup of tea" but I don't judge the guitarists with that approach, that's what they like...and I like to explorenand try to push the music forward.
