Steve “Chinner” Winstead began working as a guitar and amp tech back in 1974 in Jacksonville, N.C., with the band Nantucket. He never would have expected that a simple trip up the coast with the group would eventually lead to a longtime gig working with Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
In this video, Winstead talks about his winding path and one of the modifications he's been working on lately.
