It’s the final hour or so that really makes it. It’s senseless by that point – I’m out of ideas, I’m tired, and I’ve definitely recorded enough loops. It forces something.
Notice how 16 is a bit dull, and then things really start genre-hopping from 17 onwards. I just had to try stuff, I was so bored of myself. That jazz loop at 19 is my favourite of the whole lot, and different from anything I’ve ever done before. Same thing happened with 19 on the last batch.
Just a nice reminder of how valuable it is to push your limits, even in a very casual way.
