This is the Keeley Electronics Stahlhammer, a British amp-style distortion pedal that packs a formidable wallop, combining thick crunch tones and tubey saturation with a flexible EQ and a metric ton of output. The Stahlhammer features two switchable modes of operation. When the mini switch is in the up position it's in Tube Amp Crunch mode, which mimic's the Crunch channel of a high-gain amp. This mode lights up the pedal's red LED when the guitar is strummed, engaging it as a functioning part of the clipping circuit. Flick the switch down and the Stahlhammer is in Lead Mode, generating more gain and compression for singing, cranked-stack leads at any volume. The pedal's 3-band, tube-amp style EQ is both powerful and musical, giving the player plenty of tone sculpting options in a familiar, easy-to-use format.
