It sure didn't take long for us to go picking out Gibson guitars again, and today's pick is a pristine 1964 SG Standard! The SG Standard of this year, if you're not aware, is very much associated with George Harrison of The Beatles and if you're wondering why, take a spin through the Revolver album - you'll hear one all over that record! A totally original guitar short of a new nut, this thing plays like a dream and has a huge sound to go with it. As Trevor states in the video, its got a great almost chunky neck profile, the unique Maestro vibrola provides some interesting tonal variety, and the pickups are fantastic as you'll hear when our friend Dan Phelps plugs this instrument into a 1962 Fender Super Amp!
