Guitar demo of the superbly smooth Emma Electronic Stinkbug Overdrive pedal.

The Stinkbug is Emma Electronic’s take on the classic Tubescreamer design, and boy did they knock it out of the park!

It hits the mids in just the right way. It never gets honky or overbearing in any way, but just adds presence and punch. And the powerful EQ section also lets you scoop out the mids, if you prefer a flatter or brighter tone. And the gain is more than usable and ultra-musical throughout the entire range. Where lesser drive pedals have a tendency to sound fizzy or unpleasantly grainy as you up the gain, the Stinkbug retains its smooth and organic character, and just piles on more beautiful harmonic content that’s very pleasing to the ear.

So whether you’re going for low-gain lines, powerful crunchy chords or sizzling saturated sounds, the Stinkbug is sure to deliver filthy good tones by the bucket load.
