"There was a time in my life when I challenged myself to accomplish something extraordinary. That something became an obsession that I couldn't tame, pushing me to my mental, emotional, and psychological limits. What I originally set out to accomplish turned into another thing completely, which may have been for the best. If you've experienced this, then you also know that these types of experiences change us, and we're left with more than just the memory of the struggle. We're stronger for having pushed ourselves to those limits. So, this song is about stabilizing one's self after a period of great volatility, and reflecting on the experience.
It was an honor and a pleasure to have my good friend, Joseph Lyle, compose a second part to this song. He knew exactly what needed to be done. He has a gift of being able to add his voice to the song while still leaving a small enough footprint to not do any injustices to the spirit of the song."
