This super-versatile amp module system lets you turn any amp with an effects loop into virtually any boutique amp of your dreams. The Synergy system revolves around modules, each of which is designed to give you the tone and feel of a specific legendary amp, from Morgan and Friedman to Diezel and Metropoulos. Most Synergy modules are designed by the creator of the original amp, delivering genuine tone to the module family, and each one offers an all-analog design containing real tubes and premium parts, including mustard style Synergy branded capacitors. You can connect the SYN-1 Preamp to your effects loop, and an external footswitch gives you full control of the unit to give your amp two extra channels in a snap. With the footswitch, you can disengage the SYN-1 from your effects loop entirely, giving you your original amp back. The SYN-1 also features its own effects loop to retain your amp’s functionality and expand the sound of the modules. The effects loop continues to work even with the modules bypassed. You can even connect the SYN-1 to the front end of any amp and use it as a tube-equipped overdrive that hits your amp like a ton of bricks. Each Synergy module is small, but still decked out with more features than many full-sized amps. For starters, each module comes equipped with two separate channels, and a small switch on each module adjust cathode biasing to voice the amp to your liking. Plus, the SYN-1 module preamp is ready for the road or studio with full MIDI capability, a cab sim via XLR out for direct recording or front of house amplification, as well as a sag circuit designed to contour the feel of your favorite tube amp .
