This distinctive instrument has a woven carbon fiber top—two layers of carbon with a poplar wood core—that is only .032 inches thick, or about a quarter of the thickness of an average wood top. Carbon fibers are like the fibers in spruce—very strong in tension and bending—and they behave very much like spruce in the Adamas top, but they will never warp or absorb moisture.
This Adamas CVT also featues a five-piece mahogany, maple, and ebony fingerboard; gloss black peghead with gold Adamas logo; 24K gold machines; an Ovation Thinline pickup; and Optima electronics with an onboard chromatic tuner to optimize your sound in any venue.
The innovative, lightweight design gives this instrument superb tonal balance ideal for fingerpicking and alternate tunings.
