In the first part "The Original Blues Harmonica" Steve, David and Joe are talking about the creation of the Marine Band. In doing so, they are discussing that due to a differentiated way of playing the Marine Band the Blues developed. This was by far not planned, because the Marine Band was supposed to be an instrument for traditional European folk music.
In the second part the three artists illuminate how the marine band has developed during the past eleven decades to an state of the art instrument - the epitome of the diatonic harmonica.
