This video explores the Subharmonicon’s polyrhythm section.
The Subharmonicon provides users access to four different rhythm controls, each of which can be used independently or in combination to clock the Subharmonicon’s two pitch sequencers. All four rhythm controls are related to the Subharmonicon’s tempo knob, and when turned counter-clockwise allow users to select slower tempo divisions based on the internal clock, or when synced to a Midi clock or an analog clock source. Each rhythm knob can be used to clock one or both of the Subharmonicon’s pitch sequencers, and can also be combined in many interesting ways to create polyrhythmic movement. Users are also provided access to a master analog clock output, as well as each pitch sequencer’s gate outputs in the 32-point patchbay, allowing the Subharmonicon to clock other semi-modular or modular synthesizers in interesting ways.
