The Mesa Boogie JP-2C John Petrucci Head is the signature amplifier head of virtuoso progressive metal guitarist, John Petrucci. Designed to create all the gigging and recording tones required by the band Dream Theater, the JP-2C is an incredibly versatile 3-channel amp with multiple connectivity and a huge 100-watts of valve power to dominate any stage or recording session. The preamp circuits are based on the legendary Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ and tailored to each channel to offer crystal cleans, powerful crunches, and blistering lead tones - foot switchable in an instant for the ultimate in remote-control versatility.
The amp enhances the Mark IIC+ design with additional push-pull controls for multiple voices/boosts, along with a new SHRED mode for increased levels of saturation. The iconic Mark Series graphic EQ is also featured twice on the JP-2C, switchable to each channel independently for greatly expanded tonal sculpting. Additional features include a lush tube-driven reverb, a buffered FX-loop, Cab Clone output for emulated output, headphone-out with speaker defeat for silent playing, and full remote switching with the included footswitch.
