Take me to those lovely guitars: https://gtrgtr.uk/PlayerSeries
Nothing that grabs your curiosity quite like some new Fender's turning up.
Instantly causing guitarists to stand at attention and take notice, these monumental delivery days always have our hearts racing and we were particularly excited to catch the latest incarnations of a series that's always been dear to our hearts. Meet the range replacing Fender's Mexican standard line up, the Fender Player Series.
Now, we've long been big fans of Fender's more affordable options and their Standard models are even seen as something of a benchmark for many players in terms of quality for reasonably priced guitars. Extremely accessible and giving you loads of bang for your buck, Fender's modestly priced offerings have always impressed us and we're very pleased to share that the first arrivals from their new selection have more than lived up to our expectations.
Instead of reinventing the wheel, Fender have done exactly what we'd have asked them to and simply made some strategic tweaks that upgrade the playability, feel and style of their instruments for the Player series. We were pleased to find that the first models to arrive were pretty much as classic as they come and gave us a great impression of the range; a Strat, Tele, Jaguar, P Bass and Jazz Bass. Like greeting old friends, we had a fantastic time trying them out and we were well impressed by their feel, playability and sound.
As always, we welcome you to visit your local store and try these out for yourselves or to watch the vide above for more info and a full play-through. If this is a new dawn for what was traditionally known as Fender's Mexican Standard series then they've given us an excellent first impression which has left us eager for the arrival of the rest of the series!
