When Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman got the chance to take a close look at the Fender Acoustic SFX amp, and the singer/songwriter couldn’t wait to take one home.

“Man, this thing is fun. It feels like a good partner in crime for an acoustic guitar,” he said with a laugh. “It feels like for a lot of jam sessions I do with my friends. Like to kind of compete with a piano or the drums or whatever it is, this thing could be a perfect friend to bring a long to the party.”

In addition to the striking look of the Acoustic SFX, Foreman was impressed by the way the amp allows the acoustic guitar to really shine.

“You are not trying to create a new tone. You are trying to just enforce what the acoustic instrument already sounds like,” said Foreman. “The biggest thing is to have that volume without sacrificing the tone.”
