Next at ProGuitarShop and ToneReport, com, Andy is adrift the waves of the Sinusoid from Gurus Amps. The Sinusoid combines real all-analog tube-driven tremolo and reverb circuits with a geniune Accutronics reverb tank to deliver the ultimate add-on to feature-starved amps. The tremolo side utilizes a proprietary optical circuit which generates a perfect sine wave-style tremolo that harkens back to the early '60s Fender Vibroverb, at a time when amp tremolo became a must-have feature. The reverb side uses a two-spring tank that gives out real-deal spring drippiness, and it rattles when you give it a kick, just like a real tube-driven tank. Gurus has thoughtfully included two remote jacks to control the pedal without stepping on it, letting you place the Sinusoid on top of your amp of in an effects rack and freeing up a ton of pedalboard space. The frequency response of the Sinusoid covers all audible frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz, ensuring it can accept any pickup type or pedals placed before it. The 12-volt headroom and frequency response allow you to place the Sinusoid last in the signal chain, just as if your amp had the Gurus reverb and trem circuits inside it. The front of the pedal is outfitted with laser-cut acrylic accents and panel etching, along with two Magic Eye meters, with one for each circuit. On the trem side, the Eye shows the speed of the effect, and the reverb side displays input level so you know how hard you're pushing it. Like all Gurus pedals, the Sinusoid is built to exacting specs in Northern Italy.
