Each of the Fender Custom Shop’s Artisan series instruments is a combination of fine art and pure Fender spirit, and the new Artisan Okoume Telecaster is no exception. Check out this new addition to the series for 2015, with high-end appointments that are as beautiful in form as they are functional in design. Among many accoutrements are a dazzling okoume ’52 Tele® body, gold hardware and a 5A bird’s-eye maple neck, which is “roasted” to a dark brown color and finished with a thin nitrocellulose lacquer. It’s just as stacked in the tone department, with a pair of handwired ’58 Tele pickups and an RSD Tele bridge for authentic, classic sound.
