The Obsidian Fuzzstortion pedal from Fowl Sounds takes inspiration from rodents and 3.14159265359. With 3 unique gain stages, the Obsidian lies between a thick woolly fuzz and a crushing distortion.
Using a JFET, the ๏ฌrst gain emulates tube saturation giving off some asymmetry and tons of 2nd order harmonics. The second stage is an op- amp for dirt, followed by a silicon transistor for the fuzz. Despite the amount of gain on tap, the Obsidian remains clear and articulate with tons of harmonic grind.
All this is incased in a stunning Gorva Designs enclosure. Whether it be, doom, sludge, noise rock, shoegaze, hardcore, or grunge, the Obsidian has you covered. Awesome on bass and guitar.
