The WMD METRON is a 16 track (channel) trigger and gate sequencer for your Eurorack modular system with loads of intuitive functionality, expansion capabilities, and the tools you need to create longer sequences with tons of variation at your fingertips.
Variations are really the heart of METRON. They allow you to make up to five different patterns that can be played, edited, and queued at any time. Have one variation play and edit the next one so you can seemlessly create a B section of your song without the need to ever stop the sequencer.
In this video, Alex covers Variations, how to create, edit, switch between, and explains why they are useful. He explains some helpful tricks and tips for getting the most out of the variations section and how to create long, evolving sequences quickly with variations as a tool.

METRON can be used to trigger drum modules as well as your end all be all rhythm sequencer for voltage sequencers. Alex goes through how to sequence melodic lines using both the WMD Arpitecht and the Malekko Voltage Block.
METRON is geared towards live performance tools and real-time pattern selection. Lookahead style sequencing lets you program a pattern while another is playing so you never have to stop the sequencer to save or anything like that.
