Tori Amos is an amazing composer and this song is a great example of a minimalistic approach to a song. It is not really the kind of song one would think to make into an instrumental featuring the guitar; there is nothing flashy to it, but as a drummer and bassist, I love the laid back groove and strong foundation supporting the beautiful, haunting melody.
The amp used for this is an Egnater Rebel 20 with just an MXR Carbon Copy and a t.c.electronic Hall of Fame Reverb in the effects loop. Mesa/Boogie cabinet with a Shure SM-57 and MXL V69 mics. Guitar is a Paul Reed Smith Swamp Ash Special.
