Andy here, and this rare and unique instrument is the Seymour Duncan 35, a limited edition, hand-built gem created in honor of Seymour Duncan's 35th Anniversary. The 35 is a collaboration between Duncan and the skilled builders at Larrivee, and has its roots in the legendary "TeleGib" built by Seymour for Jeff Beck and used on the classic Blow By Blow album. The one-piece, hand-selected Swamp Ash body and fiber core phenolic pickguard are crafted from direct traces of vintage 50's Fender examples, but the traditional elements end there. The Seymour Duncan 35 comes with Duncan's Liberator Quick Pickup Change System and two sets of humbuckers; a set of Custom Shop JB & Jazz "Concept" pickups, and a set of premium Zephyr Silver pickups. Hardware is the finest available, with a Gibson style tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece by Callaham and TonePros, respectively, and hand-engraved custom tuners by Kluson. The neck is one solid piece of quartersawn rock maple, featuring Tahitian Black Pearl fretboard inlays, 6105 nickel-silver frets, and a 1 3/4 inch wide nut carved from 35,000-year-old fossilized mastodon ivory. We did not make that up. The Seymour Duncan 35's production is limited to 35 guitars only, and its spare-no-expenses build quality and deep historical connection are sure to make it a one-of-a-kind addition to any guitar collection.
