My kids have expressed interest in playing guitar, so I tried building them a really short scale bass guitar that would be easy for them to handle and learn how to play on. It features a 24" scale length neck from eBay for $50. I built the body from a $5 2x4 stud. This video documents the build, some tone clips, and a review.
