Then read on .....
This guitar is made from Sinker Mahogany, a rare & highly prized tonewood.
Several hundred years ago in Belize, Central America, mahogany trees were harvested
to make sailing ships. During transportation by river, some of these enormous tree logs
would sink to the bottom.
Here they have lain for a very long time ....
Now retrieved & repurposed, this tonewood is nothing short of spectacular.
We encourage you to play & compare this guitar to others in-store. Sonically it is like no other.
Sinker yields a surprising amount of bass for mahogany. Each string is superbly
balanced & notes sing & resonate in every position up & down the neck.
It is said that the mahogany used for the building of guitars during C.F. Martin's
classic 'Golden Era' years of production originated from the same geographical area as this Sinker Mahogany.
The Sinker Mahogany Edition guitars cost a little more, but how often do you get the opportunity to own a little piece of history ?
