We decked out our MSL Limited Run Custom 24s with the nicest pieces of wood we could find. This Paul Reed Smith has an Orange Fade finish on a beautiful flamed maple top. Be sure to check out the photos for the full effect. The Pattern Regular neck on this axe is made from korina rather than the usual mahogany. We ditched the typical rosewood fretboard and gave this Custom 24 an ebony board, which has a precise, springy feel. It's also a bit darker than rosewood, so it complements the finish nicely. For pickups, we went with 57/08s in both positions. The 57/08 might be the best pickup to come out of PRS's shop in recent years. It's focused, articulate, incredibly musical and easy to dial in to different tonal hues. We topped it all off with hybrid hardware. This is a totally unique Custom 24 perfect for anyone who wants PRS quality in an individualized, one-of-a-kind package.
