Nashville guitarist and producer demonstrates the ever popular Eric Clapton 000-28EC from Martin's Marquis Collection.


This guitar has a solid sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood sides and back, a tried and true tonewood pairing that provides projection, depth and balance. The "X" scalloped bracing allows the top to vibrate more freely than standard bracing techniques, resulting in a lively, loud tone with great clarity. The modified V neck is very cozy in every position. Along with the 1 3/4" nut width and slightly shorter than average 24.9" scale length, this guitar is a dream to play. Bending is easy and vibratos come out smoothly and expressively. The solid black ebony on the fretboard has a precise, fast feel, and it also provides a nice contrast to the 1935-style sunburst finish on the body. Other standout features include open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs, polishes gloss finish, fine herringbone rosette compensated bone saddle.
