The H500/1-62 "Mersey" Violin Bass demo played by Harmen de Bresser through an Ashdown MiBass 2.0 amp. The Mersey is inspired by a bass made by Höfner for Paul McCartney in 1963, the bass he plays today.
The Höfner H500/1-64 "Standard" violin bass is very similar but has neck binding and a slightly slimmer neck profile. It sounds the same as the "Mersey" model.
