This time I want to show you the extremes: playing through an amp with lots of headroom and then without ANY headroom. This "magical word"... headroom. What does it even mean? :)
High headroom is all about staying clean no matter how hard you hit the strings and all about the lack of compression. Low headroom (or no headroom) means that the amp starts compressing and distorting your signal as soon as you dig in the strings.
