Laurel doesn’t have to sing the blues anymore, and neither do you! This Full Band Friday the CME House Band is hopping on the Grand Frank Railroad train and riding it all the way back to the dawn of “Classic Rock” with their cover of “I Don’t Have to Sing the Blues” off GFR’s 1970 LP, “Closer to Home.”

Did you know?
Grand Funk Railroad was formed as a trio in 1969 by Mark Farner and Don Brewer from Terry Knight and the Pack and Mel Schacher from Question Mark & the Mysterians. Terry Knight soon became the band's manager and also named the band originally "Grand Trunk Railroad" as a play on words for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, a well-known rail line in Michigan. The railroad objected to the use of their name and the band was forced to change their name to Grand Funk Railroad.
