Limited Edition Snake Skin Amp: Marshall SV20HD6-H (tones like the JMP Mark II) edition embodies the spirit of the Marshall JMP we have come to know but now with 20w or 5 watt power output. I take a unique look inside and out, I mention the features you want to know and play the amp in a studio setting. So what is this Marshall vintage style amp really like? This is a limited edition of this amplifier so pre-order is likely if you want one. The snake skin is simulated.

This Marshall JMP MK II clone (I'll call it that - its a better name than SV20HD6-H) was announced at the NAMM 2020 event earlier in 2020 along with another few surprises (like the JCM800 Studio equivalent in STEALTH black) from Marshall amps. I bought this SV20HD6-H from Fair Deal Music of Birmingham England ( https://www.fairdealmusic.co.uk ). I later met 'Punit' and secured the purchase of one for this exact review. Then I waited... Marshall was closed because of the UK virus threat... but recently opened up production again (July 2020) so this one arrived - and it's still warm!
This is likely the very first review in the real world that has been created and this review is paired with the Marshall Stealth amp. Expect a real review where I show what no-one else will ever bother. If you are looking for one of these very limited amps then check this review - its likely to be the ONLY genuine review out there.
Marshall amps of course produced the original JMP 100w amplifier that this head is based on. It's all so famous and rock was built on those legendary amps and tones. So here is the smaller 'Studio' version but this snake skin amp is a limited edition but can it even compare to the original?
In this video I show the whole amp inside, outside, I discuss the features and benefits and whether there are any other points worth noting.
This amp really does reach the parts that other amps simply do not, and in that respect I did mention a recent brand (Friedman J Jnr Jerry Cantrell Model) that I had to send back because of the horrible state it was sold in and the condition as well as the not so good tones it produced. You would not believe that it could be shipped in that way but it was. Clearly there was no quality control on that amp!
In the case of the cab as I showed in this video that has a 70 Watt Celestion V-Type speaker (70 watts and 16 Ohms). The matching cab for this amp is also covered in the red matching snake skin.
The Microphone used was an Audio Technica ATM250DE that is both condenser and dynamic built in to one housing in perfect phase sadly now discontinued, but a perfect instrument microphone.
I also cover accessories and warranty of this amp in the review.
Check it out and don't forget to call Fair Deal Music on 0121 643 1685 - a really great Marshall authorised company.

Visit http://www.tonymckenzie.com for other non YouTube reviews of guitars, amps and other guitar related gear, and of course my YouTube channel with at least 300+ reviews online since 2009! I bought this amplifier and the manufacturers have had no input whatsoever. My opinions are that of any ordinary person buying one of these products and concluding what I did - completely unbiased.
